Connecting Communities

Recovery Happens Within Communities!

Recovery happens in communities and neighborhoods where people live, where they can access natural support systems and live a life of independence.

We are promoting and supporting the development of Recovery Communities across Indiana that understand, welcome, encourage, engage and nurture people who have substance use and mental health challenges.

Working Together Works!

A fundamental value of peer recovery Indiana is the involvement of people in recovery, their families, and the community to continually improve access to and quality of services. There are many ways to stay connected and strengthen our network of Recovery Communities.

Social Media

Our sponsoring organization, Indiana Addictions Issues Coalition, has an active Facebook page. It’s a great way to stay abreast of national, state and local news, events and information.

We also have a private Facebook Group and Website Login for our Peer Recovery Support professionals and Recovery Community Organizations (RCO) around the State. This allows us to easily share continuing education, intern and job opportunities and other information to help Peer Recovery Support professionals and RCO’s

Newsletter

One of the easiest ways to stay connected and learn about the many “pockets of recovery” in Indiana is through our quarterly newsletter. We regularly feature personal stories of recovery along with spotlights on communities and organizations around the state who promote peer-based recovery. We list events, workshops, training and other news from groups around the state.

Join our email list to receive updates, including our quarterly newsletter!
